BRISBANE, CA—Recording King has added an archtop tone ring option for three of the most popular banjos in its collection.
Recording King Archtop Banjos feature the bright, clear tone preferred by players who want to highlight their melodies. The archtop tone ring accentuates mids and highs for an outstanding crispness in sound.
The archtop banjo originated in the 1920’s and was popularized by artists such as Ralph Stanley and Doug Dillard. It has been increasingly difficult to find in recent years.
The archtop tone ring is available on The Professional (RK-R80A), The Soloist (RK-R85A) and Deco King (RK-R60A) banjos. These models also feature a one-piece resonator, one-piece neck, 3-ply maple rim, a bound ebony fretboard, nickel-plated hardware and American standard threads.
Recording King archtop banjos come with a vintage hardshell case. Recording King is the manufacturer of resonator banjos, open back banjos, acoustic guitars and cowboy art guitars.
